A 300-page scan is not a searchable document.

A scanned bundle is a stack of pictures. Nobody can search it, quote from it, or check a figure without turning pages, so the work lands on whoever has time to retype it.

What you get instead

BusinessDone reads every page and hands back the same PDF with a text layer behind the scan. The document still looks like the record it is, but now Ctrl+F finds the clause, the figure and the name across a whole bundle, not one file at a time.

Nothing to install, nothing to configure. The free tier processes 10 pages a month so you can try it on a real file before anyone signs anything.

Three steps from scan to searchable PDF.

Upload a batch, watch it process, download the results. There is no pipeline to configure and no template to train.

  1. Drop in the scans

Upload a batch of PDFs straight from your desktop. Nothing to install, and no per-machine licence to move between people.

  2. We read every page

Each file moves from queued to processing to done, and the list updates as it goes, so you can start a bundle and close the tab.

  3. Download searchable files

You get the same PDF back with a text layer behind the scan: searchable, copy-pastable, layout intact, no watermark.

Made for legal, accounting, and medical teams.

The details that matter when documents are the work: whole bundles at a time, layouts that survive, and progress you can actually watch.

Whole bundles at once

Send a full discovery bundle or a month of invoices in one upload, instead of feeding files through one at a time.

Layouts survive

Tables, columns and stamps stay where they were. The text layer sits behind the original scan, so the page still looks like the record it is.

A queue you can see

Every file shows its own state: queued, processing, done or failed. The list updates live as the batch works through.

Your files stay yours

Documents are never used to train AI models, and they are never sold or shared for anyone else's purposes.

Built for teams

Invite the firm, group work into projects, and keep each organisation's files scoped to the people in it.

No watermarks, no surprises

Processed pages come back clean. Your page allowance is stated up front and shown in the app as you use it.

Security your compliance team can check.

Client files are the whole point, so here is exactly what protects them, stated plainly enough that a reviewer can verify each line rather than take a badge on trust.

Encrypted at rest

Documents are stored with AES-256 encryption, and moved over encrypted connections.

Two-factor you can enforce

Owners can require two-factor authentication for everyone in the organisation, not just suggest it.

Access stays inside the org

Every query is scoped to the organisation that owns the file. Projects narrow it further, per person.

Retention you set

Choose how long processed files are kept, 30 days minimum, and place a legal hold to suspend deletion for a matter.

An audit trail

Administrative actions and document access are recorded, so a question about who opened what has an answer.

Export or erase on request

Ask us and we will export everything held about a member, or erase their account and documents outright. No ticket queue, no fee.

Reviewing us for a client engagement? Ask for the security summary and we will send what we have, including what we do not yet have.

Questions we get before the first upload.

Short answers first. If yours isn't here, the demo request below reaches a person.

What do I get back after OCR?

You get the same PDF with a searchable text layer added behind the original scan. The page looks identical, but the text is selectable, copy-pastable and findable with Ctrl+F. There is no watermark.

Can I send a whole batch at once?

Yes. Upload a bundle and every file joins the queue, so you can start a few hundred pages and close the tab. The dashboard shows each file's state as it moves from queued to processing to done.

What does the free tier include?

The free tier processes 10 pages a month and needs no credit card. Paid plans raise the monthly page allowance and add team seats; larger firms can buy seats that share an overflow pool of pages.

Which file formats can I upload?

PDFs today, including scans, photographed pages and mixed digital-and-scanned files. Other document and image formats are available on request. Tell us what you have and we will confirm before you commit.

Are my documents used to train AI models?

No. Your documents are never used to train AI models, and they are not sold or shared for anyone else's purposes. They are processed to produce your searchable file, and nothing else.

How long do you keep my files?

You decide. Organisation owners set a retention window of at least 30 days, after which processed files are deleted automatically. A legal hold suspends deletion for as long as a matter needs it.

Can I keep my team's files separate?

Yes. Files belong to an organisation, and every query is scoped to it, so nothing leaks between organisations. Inside an organisation, projects narrow access further and owners can require two-factor authentication for everyone.

Can your security answer a procurement review?

Here is what exists today: encryption at rest, two-factor authentication owners can enforce, organisation-scoped access, configurable retention with legal hold, and audit logging. We do not hold a third-party security certification yet, and we will not imply otherwise. Ask us and we will send the current security summary before your review.
